Call To Order:

The meeting was called to order at 7:40 by Bodo Lux, President..

Review of Previous Meeting Minutes:

The minutes of the August meeting were distributed at the meeting.  Bodo asked if there were any additions or corrections to be made.   Brian wanted his name spelled correctly for the record. Karolyn also asked that her name be corrected.  Motion was made by Laura to accept the corrected minutes, seconded by Gary.  Motion passed.

Resignation:

Debbie called and asked me to announce that she officially resigns from the board.  Her resignation was accepted.

Bottle and Can Drive:

The following people are to thank for the $688 that was collected from the can drive held the day after labor day:  Yvette, Brian, Jayne, Bodo, Cory, Matt & Mark Hatfield, Gary, Stan, Joyce, Richard and kids, Guido, Kim & Lisa Williams.

We still had some trouble with store managers even though they were notified in an adequate amount of time.

The next can drive will be held after next Memorial Day.

Yvette suggested once again the we look into lawn signs to put around the neighborhood to remind people about the date and time.  Peter Boyer and Elmer were suggested as contacts with price info.

Garage Sale:

There seemed to be some good feedback from the garage sale.  The ad worked well and seemed to bring in a lot of traffic.  There were fewer garage sales than last year.  It was suggested that we perhaps pick a date earlier in the summer and let people know far more in advance.

Treasurer’s Report:

Linda presented a written report to the board.

Motion was made by Brian to accept the treasurer’s report.  Seconded by Gary.  Motion passed.

Clarification was made as to the fiscal year.  Our year runs Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.  Dues paid after that time are credited for the following calendar year..

MOU:

Joe Colonie has the MOU.  The Drain office is still interested in forming a committee of the lakes.

Yvette expressed concern that this issue is dragging on for a very long time without finalization and is concerned that this committee may have an effect on the MOU becoming law.

Gary expressed concern that with the passing of time, many issues could surface such as the length of time it has been since the MOU was written.

It was therefore decided that Bodo would try to push the office a little more to get this into law and finished.

Festival Of Lights:

There will be 3 prizes: Creative, Most Lights, and Best Effort.  Each prize will be a $50 gift certificate.  The judges will be Bodo, Linda, and Jayne.  The parade will circle the main lake.  Jayne would like to use Donards sound system to announce the winners.

Annual Meeting:

We are not sure of the date, but Bodo will speak to Norm and find out if we are doing a combined meeting again.

Condo Issues:

Karolyn updated the board on a couple issues that the condo association is concerned about.  One of the issues is keeping snowmobiles off the landscaping in front of the drive.

New Business:

Jayne suggested that perhaps we consider a New Years Party.  We all mentioned that we would be interested in information.

            Motion was made to adjourn.
