Quake Info
Seventeen speed records have been set at “The Quake” in the last two years. The event maintains an excellent safety record with few accidents and no fatalities.
The hydroplane races will be Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Quake Entertainment
The 11th Annual “Quake on the Lake” will be rockin’ Friday and Saturday nights, July 16 and 17, with live on stage performances by Mark Farner, former lead singer for Grand Funk Railroad, The Tubes, Night Ranger, Shotgun Willie, PHX, Swampside, The Strict, Audio Artillery, Zooropa, Mid-Life Crisis, Send More Cops, Dave Hamilton and Love Junkies.
Summer 2010
To promote continued safety, our general fund dollars are paying for Oakland County Marine patrols on our lake, as their funding was eliminated for the 2010 boating season. Yearly dues are $25 ( $15 for 62+ residents ) for the calendar year. PAY NOW and we will credit your account from July 2010 thru Dec 31, 2011. FYI - over 90% of the monies funding the marine patrols are from sources other than dues.
Weed Harvesting
Pontiac Lake Weed Harvesting Company has the harvesting boats and, finally, the conveyor on the lake. Any lake management concerns should be directed to the lake manager, Jim Peterson.
Garage Sales
We have lost our garage sale coordinator.....Any Volunteers? We will place the necessary newspaper ads if someone will coordinate the event. If not Fisk Farm has community garage sales at their location on the third Saturday of each month. Contact the White Lake Historical Society @ 248-360-0188.
